LIQUIFIED FISH BONE

Fish bone is mainly composed of minerals including calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, sulphur, and collagen, and trace elements. The inorganic minerals of the fish bone form a complex structure with collagen protein known as hydroxyapatite or bioapatite. This complex structure gives solidity to fish bone, which is insoluble in water.

Liquified fish bone is produced by dissolving the complex hydroxyapatite in an acidic solution that enables the extraction of minerals and collagen proteins. A further enzyme treatment breaks down the collagen proteins into their peptides and amino acid forms. The process preserves all the nutrients present in the fish bone in liquid form and presents them in their simpler form, readily available for the plants. These valuable nutrients in fish bones play various important roles in plant growth.
